After aching for as little as a piece of cake for several birthdays, I still cannot believe how I got 8 birthday parties this year! It must be some kind of a record. My birthday fell on a Saturday.
It began with my little son surprising me with candles and a small cake at midnight. As I was opening my present, the doorbell rang and I saw freinds standing with a cake! It had 'Happy Birthday Nani' written on it. Dark rich chocolate cake. We had a post midnight party with a proper cake facial for me. Next evening, I threw a party, but the cake came as a surprise again! A Black Forest this time. Next morning, which was 24 hrs after my birthday, I awoke to my cousins dropping in with a cake and present. Chocolate, again!! Back at work , it was the turn of my colleagues to throw a surprise party for me and our boss who share birthday (up to the year!) It was a yummy chocolate cake again. That very evening, another friend and his girlfriend invited me over for dinner and made me cut another cake for my birthday that he'd missed. Chocolate!! This was Tuesday and I came home thanking my stars for such love and warmth I was getting, not to mention cakes, little knowing that another one was yet in store for me on the Sunday that followed. I was called over to Big Chill for a surprise lunch, which turned out to be another birthday party for me thrown by my closest freinds at work. They gave me flowers, lovely presents and made me cut a small slice of cake, since the bigger cake which they had got for me was in the car since it was not allowed inside. I was touched to the core. We all came back home together and cut the final cake -- Vanilla this time!
So you see, I had a yummy chocolacious birthday this time...
